Visit of the Peter and Paul Church. The Church of Saints Peter and Paul is a masterpiece of Baroque, often called “a Baroque pearl”. The construction of the church began in 1668 by order of Kazimierz Pac, the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, to commemorate the liberation of the city from its Russian invaders. You will be impressed by the unique interior of the church: it is decorated with 2000 statues of biblical, mythological and historical heroes, made of snow-white artificial marble by famous Italian masters. This magnificence can be hardly found in any other church in Vilnius.
